Super Bowl 2009 Start Time 2/1/09 Kick Off Time

What time does the Super Bowl football game start on Sunday, Feb 1st, 2009? The Super Bowl, featuring the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburg Steelers, is scheduled to start at 6pm Est time but actually kick off around 6:16pm in Tampa Bay Florida.

Super Bowl Commercials Feb 1, 2009:

Due to the recession we are facing in the USA, ad spending is weak. However, it is reported that NBC sold 90% of their ad space for the 2009 super bowl prior to mid September 2008, before the Lehman Brothers falter.

What to look for as far as commercials? If you blink, you might miss it, but Beer companies are going to be running 1 second beer ads as a way to cut costs. This might actually work because if they stick a picture of a beer up for 1 second and take it away, people will remember it.

What is also worth noting is that most beer companies had big promotions prior to this years Super Bowl due to many people buying beer prior to the actual game. I am banking on Miller High Life to be among the short ads.

First Baby Born 2009 USA World 1/1/09

There are many claims to have been the first baby born in 2009 so we decided to dig deep and find out the truth. We found that the 1st baby born in 2009 belonged to a Singapore couple at exactly midnight, 1/01/08.

At the KK Women's and Children's Hospital, the Lau family says the cries of their newborn Phyliss signified the dawn of a new year. "It was very surprising because we were actually celebrating in our labour room, watching the TV on Channel 8 for the countdown, and basically it was just coincidentally that the baby was born exactly at midnight," said the father of baby Phyliss, Lau Hsiao Loong. Weighing some 3.14 kg, Phyliss is the Lau's second child and their second daughter. Pictures

In the United States, the first baby in 2009 that was born was from Chicago. Chicagotribune.com is reporting that a girl who waited just two seconds into the New Year to greet her Bensenville parents may be the first baby born in the Chicago area in 2009, a Loyola University Medical Center spokeswoman said.
According to the Tribune, Amaranta Aguilar came in at 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measures 19 1/4 inches, Loyola spokeswoman Nora Plunkett said.

Other 2009 born babies that were close were from San Antonio and New Jersey, but the above baby from Chicago was the first newborn in 2009.
